^ ^ Cute picture! OK... I'm reasonably new too, but I've found my way around. The layers tools are all on the layer thumbnail, so if you want a new layer click on the "new layer" icon next to the first layer thumbnail. (The icon looks like a sheet of paper with a + sign on it) If you want to hide a layer click the eye symbol next to the layer you want to hide. If you want to delete a layer, click the bin symbol. To change between layers click on the thumbnail of the layer you want to work on. So... that's the layers! If you want to know anything else, just ask. ;)
